Question about Samsung Digimax A7 Digital Camera
.Goes to ''format card''..after trying to format i get a ''format error'' its a brand new 2gig standard SD card

Is the card over 2GB ? This camera will only take cards up to 2GB

SOURCE: SD memory card will not format in a Samsung Digimax 301.
I own a samsungDigimax 301, 3.2 mpi camera. When I inserted an SD card in the slot, the screen read " card error". Could you guide me as to dealing with this problem so that I may use the camera to take pictures this weekend? Thanks. Mathew.

You might just need to format the new cards in the camera to optimize them. Try that.
