First of all "DAMN" can I have your PC lol jk, you upgraded to high for XP you have a Visa compatible upgrade. That motherboard doesn't support XP servise pack II. sorry if you dont like Vista but this OEM is the only thing that will work properly now.

  • Anonymous Jun 20, 2009

You can try sevice pack lll, and upgrade your cooling or add another and see if this helps, I realy couldn't tell you if the temp is normal or not I'm more software than hardware. However the problem we face today is that almost all manufactures are makeing there products to work best with Vista makeing it hard to realy upgrade without useing this OEM. Vista realy isn't so bad once you learn it though. I myself perfer XP but have learned that there are somethings vista can do that XP can't. GL hope this info helps.

What type of RAM is compatible for my desktop pc for increasing speed ?

Your motherboard can support up to 8 Gb of ram, of type DDR2 667 MHz or 800 MHz. In practice 667 would do I believe as the performance difference is not great in practice. The board has 2 DIMM sockets for this.

It depends somewhat on your OS and what you want to do. I'd try 4 Gb first. Bear in mind that added ram doesn't actually speed the computer as such, only a faster CPU does that, but it will allow more windows to be kept open, and cut down on data swapping to virual memory on the hard drive.

You should be able to as it can take 4 gig total according to the manual.

Supports dual channel DDRII 667/533 unbuffered DIMMs (Note 3)
Supports 1.8V DDRII DIMMs
Note 2. Only for GA-945GCMX-S2.
Note 3. Only for GA-945GCM-S2.

specs on that board from Intel is 2 gig max. when you install the 2 gig alone does it show you 2 gig in windows or only 1?......with a 2 gig max I would think that would max each slot at 1 gig...

Hi, I need standard spec info of VGA built on Asus P5GC-MX 1333 whether 64 Mb or 128 Mb. Many thanks & regards, Richard

you can use up to a maximum of 224 mb of your computer's RAM for the onboard video chip to use. You can install a video card with any amount of memory (which would give you a lot better video performance).

Hello Sir, I had 512 MB 533 MHz DDR2 RAM(Dynet). Now I have bought 1 GB 667 MHz DDR2 RAM(Dynet). My system has 2 slots. In one slot, I have 512 MB RAM and in another slot, I installed 1 GB RAM that I have...

The Intel D102GGC2 uses a Dual Channel Memory Architecture meaning that both slots need to be running at the same speeds. I would suggest getting another 667 MHz RAM card and installing it along side your current one, just as I reminder this motherboard only supports 2GB RAM Max so don't get one that is above 1GB.

you could only upgrade the processor and RAM in this condition i.e.

you can only change your an upgraded p-III processor like 1.0 GHz, 1.1 GHz or 1.3GHz and
upgrade the RAM by changing to 256 in each slot.

that is all what u can do with ur pc
