SOURCE: Panasonic HDTV 1080i Lamp out

If the lamp is actually out - replace it - if the lamp is still working just reset the lamp hours - at 10,000 hours it automatically says that but it is just the lamp time needing a reset.

I got the 1080i panasonic hdtv which lamp indicator light flashes 4 times and wont turn on.what could be the problem.

I would check the lamp first. These are the most common failures and can be replaced by the consumer with step by step directions in the user's manual. Check the lamp by removing the lamp door and checking the bulb. If you see either a shattered or cloudy bulb, then you need to get a new lamp.

I have a Panasonic HDTV 1080i 52inch TV that is 6 years old. When I turn it on, the green power light just blinks and there is no picture at all. Any advice?

Check the lamp. Detach the front cover, read the warning, unscrew the cover, look inside, undo the one and only screw you can find, and pull out the lamp module. (Without touching the lamp) have a look at the light. Can you see it smokey in colour, or is the filament broken? This is how the PT-50LC13-K that I found in the garbage behaved, and the lamp filament is toast. Just thought I'd share.

My picture is dark and have changed the brightness

Hello!
Well it seems that your lamp is about to go out, replacing the lamp might jus do it ! Also make sure you get a Philips lamps, they work like a charm.
And regarding the long plastic cover just be a little bity patient and you'll make it come off, just make sure you do remove all the screws.

My picture is dark and have changed the brightness

This model is notorious for needing a new lamp about every 2 years. The lamp is accessed through the front by removing the long plastic cover under the screen (it just pulls off). Under that, to the left of center, is a square cover with one grey plastic screw. Loosen the screw and pull the lamp assembly out. It should just slide right out. Turn it around and look at the lamp. If the lamp face or reflector looks "cloudy" or "misty". Replace the lamp with Philips part number TY-LA1000. Just Google the number and you will find them available for around $100
