Quickverse deluxe version

Locate the setup file for QuickVerse. Right click on the file and choose 'Properties'. On the 'Compatability' tab, click the check box next to 'Run this program in compatibility mode for:' and choose 'Windows XP Service Pack 3'.

After QuickVerse is installed, you may have to perform the above steps for the application file as well.

The system requirements of this software are Windows 95 / 98 / ME / NT / 2000 / XP only. but their are new version of Quick verse 7 that are compatible in window 7 visit this link..

Check with Broderbund - either it will work OK - some programmes do or you may have to buy an upgrade - when have you heard that before!!

I Think Your problem no in QuickVerse 8 Deluxe, but on Windows 7.

1. Software for XP, few can installed on Windows 7 -> i think you use Application for XP
2. Usually windows 7 must be Pacht-ing for use windows XP Application
3. May be you can Try install -> on software -> Right Click -> Run As Administrator "you Must enable Administrator befor".

After that, yes, there is an XP Mode available for free download to users of W7 Pro, Ultimate or Enterprise and would run your previous more "friendly" version.

XP and windows 7 are different Operating System different code

No it looks like they stopped the support at the old one, this means they did'nt make any drivers for the old one to function on vista.
Vista uses a very diferent driver model than xp does.
The drivers for xp won't work in any way on vista.

1. Download and install the latest Maintenance Release
   
   Browse to the Program Files folder for QuickVerse 2007
   
2. Configure Compatibility Mode for these 2 files:
   C:\Program Files\QuickVerse 2007\qv11.exe
   C:\Program Files\QuickVerse 2007\QVBookManager.exe
   
3. Right-click each file listed above and select Properties on the Menu

hello, and the anser is no it should'nt be a problem to run 7 with win xp even though you have 6 allready.

Install QuickVerse Essentials version 7 on WinXP w/sp3

Place the QuickVerse version 7 Essentials CD into optical drive & close tray. This begins the auto run / install process. (Please do not remove CD until right at the end!)

Installation menus appear. Accept the defaults and choose “Typical Installation” (85Mb)

Message box appears at the end of the installation: “QuickVerse installation has encountered a problem and needs to close” Choose “Don’t Send” The installation program exits.

Navigate to: Start Button / All Programs / Parsons / QuickVerse 7 / (from drop down list) find “QuickVerse 7.0” and right click on it. Select “Send To Desktop”

Click on the new QuickVerse 7.0 desktop icon to run the program.

Dialog Box appears, “The librarian datafile library.mdb not found etc…” Select “New” / "Open Book" dialog box appears click on “Close”

Now with QuickVerse 7.0 running go to File / Add Books. “Registration Guide – Introduction” box appears. Choose “Next” The path to the new collection to register should identify the optical drive (with the QuickVerse CD already inserted) Choose “Next”, “Next” and “Finish” ("Registering STEP Books" msg box appears)

Customize Option: select “No” (default) then “OK”

Go to File / Library management. “Library Management – Maintenance” box appears
The Left Hand (LH) pane shows:

Highlight QV Essentials in the LH pane. The RH pane shows all the books present on the CD. I chose to install only the NRSV w/Apocrypha book. Drag and drop this book to the LH pane i.e. Default Drive.

“Transferring Book Files” msg box appears whilst the book is being copied from the CD to the hd.

Close the dialog, exit the program, remove the CD and you’re away…
