Missing drivers Need drivers to run scanner on Windows 7 - drivers that came with scanner now lost.

Are you using it currentrly? What is your current Operating System? I've been searching and can't see anywhate a windows 8 driver for this scanner.
Bu let me tell you, I'm using currently a Genius ColorPage, originally released for windows 98. Installed windows 2000 driver in compatibility mode for findows XP. There is no driver for Windows XP nor for Windows 7 and coldn't make it work in Windows 7. So I run it on a computer with dual bootWindows XP / Windows 7.
When I need to scan, I simply start up as windows XP. When finished scanning, reboot to windows 7
I Have Windows 7 on a 2 Tb HD SATA and Windows XP on 200 Mb IDE. Is more economical to have a dual boot then buy a new Scanner.
If your scanner won't run on windows 8, install on another HD or a partiton, Windows 7. doual boot Windows 7 / 8 work like a dream.

Try going to device manager and use the "automatic update" to get a compatible driver you need. Right click on the device and choose update driver automatically. You shouldbe connected on the internet when doing this. Windows 7 will look for a compatible driver fro your device. If windows 7 failed to get a driver for you. You have to go to your scanner manufacturer's website to get a driver and install it.

according with Windows 7 compatibility Center isn't a windows 7 supported. The manufacturer is yet to write MUSTEK Scanexpress 1200 UB Scanner drivers for Windows 7. However, you could try downloading MUSTEK Scanexpress 1200 UB Scanner drivers for Windows Xp and try running them in compatibility mode. click here how to run them in compatibility mode y all this does not work you must have to contact manufacture for better support. hope this help

You can still download the driver from the Canon Official website, but since you didn't mention the Operating System where you gonna install this printer, I can't make this specific and am unable to give you the direct link.

Open this link (Click Here), select Operating System (O.S), then select Language and click "Submit" all the available downloadable drivers/softwares for that particular operating system will be displayed on the next page. Click the respective links to download.

there is no driver yet for windows 7.but download scan gear and scan gear toolbox from here:http://software.canon-europe.com/products/0000473.asp  open properties,compatibility and run it in compatibility mode for xp sp2

Hi.
I can use HR7X under windows 7 64bits, but not easy.
1) disconnect de power of scanner.
2) install the driver V2.1 (21Mb)
3) reboot
4) plug the power cord of scanner
5) cancel windows instalation
6) install the driver manually (c:\programs files\scannerU)

Now you have the KYESCAN.exe in the Colorpage folder.
7) run kyescan
8) at the scanner panel press SCAN button
9) wait, the kyescan will open a program like Photoshop or CorelDraw.
10) Now you can Acquire a image (File-> acquire -> via)

Note: you have to use kyescan. If you try to use direct from a image program the PC will not find de scanner.

kind of,if your pc is compatible,i just installed windows 7 x64 and had the same problem,but i installed virtual xp mode and i was able to install the drivers for my 3000f and i can use the scanner againin widows 7 x64.good luck.
P>S: windows 7 is free till next year (march) ,not all processors support "xp mode",i was using vista 32 bit before,make sure u update your bios to the latest,i did cause before it wouldn't run
