SOURCE: How to change black ink cartridge of HP Deskjet 6980

Lift the cover up.

The ink jet carriage should park in the center of the carriage.

Gently lift on the front of the ink jet until it removes. Some you have to lift up and some you have to lift down on. Just be careful.

HP inkjet cartridges tell you on the front of the stick by a dot weather it is tri color or black.

SOURCE: HP 3055 printing black lines when using collate feature to copy

All you need to do is to clean the small wide glass (that at the LEFT of the main flat big class). The Auto Document Feeder (ADF) specifically uses this glass to scan for copy (and fax). When it is dirty (such as small dirt or particles on the surface which is easy to gain in long run), it will create thin vertical line(s) as the result.

The printer needs to have RAM drive off, mopier mode disabled. Also the device settings for the printer needs to have Printer Hard Disk set to not installed and job storage and mopier mode set to disabled.

I have a MFC7860DW, How do I set it to collate copies?

You can download the manual from here: Reference page 24: "Collate With the Collate check box selected, one complete copy of your document will be printed and then repeated for the number of copies you selected. If the Collate check box is not selected, then each page will be printed for all the copies selected before the next page of the document is printed."

I have a hp psc 2210 all-in-one recently when I go to print a letter, etc. the printer has the collated box checked. I would love to delete the collate option from my printer.

one way to reset the settings would be to remove and then reinstall everything related to the printer.

you could try going

start -> control panel -> printers and faxes -> your printer, right click properties -> find the setting and uncheck it.

Xerox Phaser 7300DN will not collate

Try using the PCL driver from the Xerox website, rather than the Postscript one supplied with the printer.

I had the same problem and installing the PCL driver solved it.

Multiple copies

Look for a small "Collate" box and make sure it is checked. That way it will print each set in order.

I am running Microsoft Word 2003 and have an HP 1320n printer. My problem is that when I print more than 1 copy the pages do not collate even if the collate box is ticked in the print dialogue book and so...

HP 1320 print driver is a universal print driver covering several printer models.  Collating only works on HP printers if you have a multiple exit tray system for commercial based laser printers similar to finishers on a copier.  They have to have room to keep the copier together before they can be collated.  On a standard configured 1320 there lacks any space for finishing tasks.

KONICA MINOLTA C450 VXL Printer - When stapling multiple copies it staples all the copies together rather than each one separately as required. I use vista operating system.

There is an issue with the Konica Print Driver and the MS Print Driver. If Collate is turned on in both the drivers, you will get this problem.

The solution is to turn off Collate on one of the Drivers. Usually you will have an initial Print Dialog window that pops up when you can select your printer, how many copies and if to collate or not. De-select Collate. Then you should also see Preferences Tab. If you select that tab, select Collate and Staple, your print jobs should now Collate and Staple correctly.
