Dear Mitodelvalle,
Here are few things that you might want to check:
- Open the chassis of the computer and make sure that the cables that go to the drive are properly connected .. there should be 2 connectors.. One for Power supply with 4 wires and one is a ribbon cable for data. Make sure that the power supply cable is properly connected. you might want to remove and plug it back just to be sure.
- If that doesn't work then most of the computers come with a spare power connector hanging loose, you might want to try the spare connector.
- Try ejecting the optical drive by inserting pin in to the small hole in the front of the optical drive, just below the tray... Straighten a paper clip and insert it straight into the pin hole below the optical drive's tray and the drive should eject, then pull the trey out gently with your hand and make sure that nothing is broken inside...
