Hi mine is KM 1820 model. It is working properly but evreytime i copy the output is blank and shows only 2 lines

1) Go to IP address. View the Command Center web page. Go to the basic page and register/add a contact inside the contacts book.

2) Provide a name and at the SMB section field, fill up with the host-name or the IP address of the computer, where you need to scan.

3) Fill up the user-name with the local user-name, the one that you use to get it into the computer or create the local user for the PC. That will be the password and user-name.

4) Create a folder where you want to receive the scanned files and add at the path field.

Why Does User Authentication Fail When the User Logs In to the Switch from the Web System?

The possible causes are as follows:

The user name or password is incorrect.

Run the display local-user command to check whether the user exists.

Run the display local-user username user-name command to check whether the user password is correct.

There is no HTTP user access type.

Run the display local-user username user-name command to check whether the AuthMask field of the user contains H (HTTP login).

The user connected to the switch is full. The switch supports a maximum of five users.

I forgot my password

Forgetting your User password is both annoying and easily fixable.
Turn laptop on and repeatedly hit F8 till a black screen with white writing appears with multiple options for you to select.
Highlight "Safe mode with command prompt" after a few minutes another screen will appear with the following.

C:/ Yourcomputersname/Your user name>
type "net user" press enter
type "net user Your user account name * "
(( Your User Name should appear under neath the "net user" command.
Type "net user Your user name *
It will ask you to enter a password, enter any password you like. Note the cursor will not move to show it recognised a key press this is for security purposes so please dont make a mistake.
It will ask you to re enter the same password
Re enter password then press enter
COMMAND COMPLETED SUCCESSFULLY should appear.

Reboot laptop and sign in with original User Name and new password you typed in above.

Hi Am having kyocera 4050 b&w Copier i have problem with my scan its showing the error code is 1102 can u help me

Here is what an 1102 error is and what some of the things to look for are.. hope it helps..

1102 SMB(SMB)

Error: User/Password or SharedName/FolderNameDomain name not entered as Domain UserInput
User Name with one of the form "Domain\User", "Domain/User", "User@Domain"SMB)
User Name/Password or Shared Name/Folder Name ErrorSpecify invalid User/Password (includes unspecified)Input correct User Name/PasswordSpecify the User who is not permitted for accessing to the folderInput correct User and Password

Check access limit for send destination folderSpecify invalid Shared NameInput correct Shared Name

(See the reference for the symbol which is possible to use for Shared Name)Host Name ErrorCheck if any prohibited letter (see the reference) for Host Name is included or notSCAN TO EMAIL(SCAN TO EMAIL)

User Name/Password ErrorUser ID for Authentication is not entered/entered wrong User ID

Wrong Password for Authentication is enteredInput User ID/Password which is used for Authentication from [Advanced] on Command Center correctly

([Login User Name] on [POP3] page or [SMTP] page)

It's actually related with SMB.

The shared folder on the server may be blocked by an open ghost connection.
A restart of the samba service may repair

In case of a problem or clarification or my solution was insufficient, don't hesitate to post me a reply.

If you are satisfied, rate my solution with the "thumbs" or (even better) add a testimonial.

KM-1820 scanner setup

The KM-1820 to scan to PC is using SMB, FTP or e-mail.

for SMB:
I am assuming you have the KM-1820 connected within the network and a static IP address for it.
open any Internet browser and go to KM-1820's IP address.
You should see the Command Centre web page.
Go to Basic page and add/register a contact within the Address Book.
Give a name and at the SMB section field, fill up with your computer hostname or the ip address of your computer where you want to scan. Fill up the user name with the local user name - the one what you are using to get into your computer - or create a new LOCAL user for your PC lets say "kyocera". So for SMB will be your computer and username: kyocera. (You will need a password for that computer user (kyocera) ). Then create a folder "scan" where you want ot receive the scanned files and add "scan" at the path field (SMB section of that webpage - command center).
Now share the folder "scan" as "scan".

if you want you can always use the scan to e-mail !! but you need a smtp server. All the settings can be done using that command center webpage.

Running Mac Os X 10.4.11 my finder keeps resetting by itself

  1. Log in as an administrator.
  2. Open Terminal (in /Applications/Utilities).
  3. Type the following commands, each on a single line and followed by Return (enter an admin password when prompted):

sudo dscl . create /Groups/username GroupMembership username

sudo dscl . change /Groups/username RecordName username _username
Replace the italicized "username" with your account username (which is also the name of the user's Home folder, in the Users folder). Remember to include the underscore "_" before your user name in the second command.
If you have more than one account on the computer affected by this issue, you should run these two commands again for each account, substituting with the appropriate user name each time.
