It depends. Go into feature 983, default pwd of 1020000 for 3-digit extensions. Go into AA, Table, Table 1, and change the option for the AA to N. If you're using a CCR tree, you'll have to go into Table 1 and disable the tree under Morn CCR and all the CCRs that follow.
Choose Other, CCR, ADMIN, Enter 1 for CCR tree one and when the option for "Path" appears press 0 and you will have the option to record. I believe there is an option for "More" which you select and play the greeting if not you can choose rec and the option to play the current greeting will be on the screen.
The programming of the individual paths is done in CCR programming. First you have to disable the CCR tree to change the programming This is accomplished by entering feature983>password>AA>table>Gtng table:1 (might be a different table but 1 is the most common)>press either ok or next til you see CCR tree: 1 then press CHNG and disable. Next press the * key til you return to the main menu ( mbox AA OTHR) and press the OTHR soft key. Press the CCR soft key >admin>and the tree number(probably 1). At this point it asks for a "path" number. A path is the action when a certain digit is pressed (1 for Dale..) Enter path 1> transfer>int>and 223 (which is dales extension number) and ok.Continue with the remainder of the paths until done.Next press the END soft key and the SAVE>SAVE as tree 1 YES soft keys. Lastly don't forget to re-enable the CCR programming AA>table>GTNG table:1>>>>> CCR tree: disable. CHNG>and the number 1. Press the Rls key when finished.
The feature your looking for is custom call routing(CCR). If your using 4 digit DN's then you probably have larger office environment which I'm not sure that a CCR tree will handle efficently. To build your CCR tree, enter into voicemail admin programming, press the OTHR soft key, then the CCR soft key ehn the ADMIN key enter in a CCR tree number, then press build At this point you would enter in the number of the path you want to build and what it will do. ex. path 1 means when I press 1 on the dialpad I want it to call Mary's extension(transfer, internal, ext 2221) When your finished building your paths you'll need to save your tree.then you'll need to enable the CCR tree under AA,TABLE, Grtg Table:1, then press next til you see CCR tree: none. Press the CHNG soft key then 1 on the dialpad and ok. That will enable CCR tree 1 to work in greeting table 1. Theres a large section dedicated to building and changing CCR trees in the Nortel voicemail manuals so don't be discouraged if you don't get it on your first try. good luck
Changing CCR tree... Ok, for the first part: Changing the Greeting in the Auto Attendant via CCR tree... you have to get into the ADMIN mailbox: -> FEATURE 9 8 3 -> Password 1020000 for 3 digit extensions -or- 120000 for 2 digit extensions (these are the default password, but can be changed) -> OTHR -> CCR -> ADMIN -> TREE 1 and press OK -> CHNG -> Path 0 -> REC then press PLAY to listen to the greeting, and ensure that is the one that you need to change -> REC the new message -> remember to SAVE! otherwise all is for not. THIS MAY BE REQUIRED FOR OTHER TREES ex 2 or 3, listen too all trees and change if required... same steps to get into the trees and prompts.
Ok, second part: To change the locations of where Press 1 goes do that same steps as above, but Path 1 is for number 1... Path 2 is for the number 2... so on and so forth.
Sounds like you have a complete recording in the company greeting and another complete recording in the CCR tree. The scenario you described is exactly what happens when you have recorded the entire greeting under company greeting and the CCR tree greeting. A quick solution is to record 1 or 2 seconds of silence in either the company greeting or the CCR tree greeting. Do you know where or how the last greeting was recorded? If you do I would reord the silence in that place.
