I assumed when you say all phones are operating means there's power and are charging.
1. There could be some phones that are loading the Tel line. Disconnect all phones and plug it one by one while checking the dial tone. If all phones gives busy tone, there coulb be a problem in the Trunk line or the Tel Company line.
2. There could be a short or resistance in the line. Check the connection in junction box between your house and the Tel Company cable.
3. If you have an analog Tel set, you can check the dial tone directly from Tel Company cable that comes in to your house.
it might be because of interference. i think it takes all the power from your other phones cause it needs all the power from your other things plugged in to try to get rid of the problem. if this helped, good. if it didnt, sorry. the way to solve this is to probably look at the base and figure out how to open it and take a look inside.
I had the same problem with a model 6325-4. Worked fine for the first week. Then, tone dial with redial, directory, etc was too fast for system to register the number. Called Vtech support. After a 15 hold, 5 minute explanation and tech listening to a reproduction of problem over the phone, she asked that I perform a complete system reset (I called via my cell). I unplugged power from base first, then removed battery from all hand sets. Powered down for ~3 minutes (with tech waiting on line the entire time). I powered up base first and then reconnected all handsets. Selected a handset at random and performed the same dial from directory test I had done just before power down. The thing worked again. Call went through just fine. Tried several other selections in directory with same positive results. Now, if the system just stays stable and working. Hope this helps..
Try switching batteries with one of your other handsets known to be in good working order or replace the batteries in the handset with the problem with new ones
Is it on mute or something? Try making sure no one has messed around with the phone, My little girl was being silly with mine while i was cleaning my kitchen came back , Tried calling someone to make sure my phone worked and it wouldnt make a noise. Just try on the settings thingy that its not on mute or anything. SORRY IF ITS NOT ENOUGH :S
it sound to be block but thats my personal opinion due that I dont work with that brand, there are few other brand model that have that feuture just to have controls of the use of the phone, they use to recive only but allowe to call 9-1-1..unles no other tech tell you something else try to get the manual of that unit..good luck
