My dvd player is stuck on one dvd and wont let me eject, change disc, or even stop the current dvd. display reads "locked" whenever i press any buttons. can only turn on and off the device.

Hi, For some reason the disk will not play. You push the eject button over and over again, but the disk slot will not open. Here's one solution...
* 1 Turn off the DVD player. Wait a few minutes, turn the DVD player back on, and
then press the "eject" button. If this does not work, turn it off and unplug
the DVD player...while you keep pushing EJECT button plug the DVD and turn it on (your hand still on the eject..) is should come out..
* 2 ..if it does not eject , unplug the DVD player again, Remove the screws off DVD on the sides and take off the DVD casing.
* 3 Look for the DVD holder inside the DVD player. This device holds the DVD in
place while the DVD player reads the disk.
* 4 Push the stuck DVD disk toward the front of the DVD player until the DVD
ejects. Remember the DVD player is not on and some force ( gentle ! ) must be applied.
* 5 While it is open, plug it on and place a DVD disc just to see if mechanism works properly..
* 6 Replace the casing and the screws. Plug the player in and turn it on. Put
another DVD in to test whether the player is finally working ..
Hope this helps!..
Take care and please

No video pic/only sound..//cyberhome CH-dvd 300 player

Whenever you have audio and no picture, its always a good idea to make sure that Progressive Scan has not been activated accidently. Follow the instructions in your user manual to get out of Progressive Scan.

I am unable to get the dvd to play

just turn on both the dvd player and your tv set...then set your tv program into AV mode or INPUT mode, and connect the RCA cables from the output of the dvd player into the input socket of the tv system...be sure that the colors or the RCA wires must correspond to the two sockets namely the the OUTPUT adn the INPUT..you can now activate your dvd player!!!

Dual XDVD710 Car Video Player

There isn't a code but there is a way when you wire it. DVD head units have one extra wire in their wiring harnesses, compared to a standard CD head unit. On mine, it's a peach-colored wire, and is the activation wire for the DVD feature. During the installation, the instructions call for this wire to be tapped into the emergency brake indicator light wire. The reason is this:

The e-brake indicator light is what is called a "ground complete" circuit. That means that the bulb always has power applied, but when you pull the brake, that puts a ground to the wire and completes the circuit, allowing it to illuminate. The head unit sees this ground, and activates the DVD player.

In my Jensen unit, I simply ran this wire to a ground (I used a screw near the fuse box), and I put a switch on the wire, so I could break the ground contact at will. Jensen calls for a procedure to activate DVD playback. In their instructions, they tell you to select DVD from the option menu, and when the "lawyer screen" comes up (the one warning you to park before you watch a movie), you release the e-brake for 3-5 seconds, and then reapply it. To simulate that with the switch I used, I leave the switch closed (activated), and select DVD. Then I flip the switch "off" for 3-5 seconds, and flip it back "on". This tricks the head unit into thinking I put the e-brake off for a few seconds and then put it back on, and the movie will start. Then I can drive away.

Basically, ground the wire that is used for DVD activation, and put a switch inline on it. Then you can break and reapply the ground in whatever manner is required by the manufacturer of your head unit. If there is no off/on sequence with yours, as there is with mine, simply ground the wire to a screw inside the dashboard and you're done.

What code? Do you mean an unlock code? You'd probably have to go through the manufacturer for that. If you mean a code to allow DVD playback while moving, there isn't such a thing. To do that you have to wire it a certain way (which is easy).

Player was put on progressive scan and has stop displaying any video

You might want to reset to factory defaults, but there is an error in the manual. In order to reset to factory defaults, turn on (with no disc inside), DO NOT OPEN THE DISC TRAY, just press the stop button on the player for 5 seconds.
