I put in 360 game into 360 console, message pops up to insert game into a xbox 360 console...that is what I'm putting it in!!!!

Hi,

try putting a DVD movie, or A music CD in.
this will eliminate a faulty DVD Drive, or laser fault.

Xbox 360 will not read games or dvd's

Try to insert a straighten paper pin into the hole under the tray if still no go You have to open the cover and take the cd out.

Put game in xbox 360 ands goes in dvd mode

the consel might not reconignize the disc.try checking the laser, or see if u can get a new laser. ether the eye might be old or broken

Yes this is the sensors on the back of the DVD drive overheating and it shuts down to prevent damage.

You just need to stop the heat build up, you can do this with a good Xbox 360 Repair guide or send it in and they will repair it for you for $140.

Xbox 360 says "Please insert this CD into an Xbox 360"

Try to clean out your xbox 360. Or, try to clean the disc with a soft rag and windex. Or, your disc is scratched

make sure ur eye thing under the disk tray that reads the disk is not dirty or damaged. also make sure ur lazer lenz is also clean. try going to xbox.com for more solutions cause i have same problem
