The laptop keyboard needs to be replaced, go to www.ebay.com Type: make and model of laptop and refine search to keyboard.

Plug in a USB keyboard into your laptop and see if the letter "k" works on it.If it does, then your laptop keyboard isn't working properly.

If the USB keyboard letter k doesn't work, then there is a Windows operating system issue that is keep your letter k from working.

That is a fake letter, pointing to a virus - you got infected with something really nasty (a rootkit) that is practically impossible to get rid of , you will have to reinstall Windows.
And next time don't believe everything you read in a mail.

You might be attacked by a virus, so scan your PC with antivirus thoroughly. If it doesn't work, try my last powerful way. Follow me how:
Click Start Button>All Program>Accesories>Accesibilities>On Screen Keyboard. DONE!
If you find it unsatisfied, Try to Remove the OFFICE, and re-install it! GodLuck!

You have a faulty keyboard. Need to change the whole keyboard since you cannot change just only one letter key.

Note: If machine is under warranty no need to pay for the repairs.

That did it....I didn't know there was a screen calibration tool on it. Thanks for the assist!
