Basically the drop down file has a extention "all files" i have beenusing that. I have tried .avi but that does not seem to work either.
When trying to move a file from my documents to Windows movie maker the program comes up with a caption that the file mpg. is not avalid Windows movie maker project file, to import a video file to use on this project, on the file menu select import to collections when you try that a caption appears that says the file could not be imported. an interface has too many methods to fire events from.

You didn't understand what I was saying so well, let me rephrase it. When you take the files out of the SD card, what are the extention?
ex. A file from the SD card (movie file) is "movie001.avi"
what is the extention of the file that you are trying to edit? example. movie01.avi
