Either way afterward you will need to purchase a new hard drive.. They have drives as low as 30 dollars online that can be purchased and then installed.

You will need to reinstall windows on the new hard drive you get..

Ultimately you will have to weigh the cost of repairing the computer ( purchasing a hardrive and purchasing a new copy of windows)

Why not put the drivers on a disk as a backup. Then you will have them if you ever need them in the future. You can then install the drivers in your notebook.
