Thanks - it is a Whirlpool model GZ25FSRXYY2 We installed a new filter and when you push the lever for water, the filter light comes on. It ultimately turns off but it should not be on when you get ice or water. The controls on your model have many more settings than most models that allow pressing and holding buttons for different features. Try unplugging the refrigerator for a few minutes and press a few keys on the dispenser before plugging the power cord back into the wall. That should cause everything to go into the default settings for your model. Here is a=> GZ25FSRXYY2 User Manual. Let me know what happens, I am here should you need me, Thanks John Tripp Appliance 911 http://shared.whirlpoolcorp.com/assets/p...The controls on your model have many more settings than most models that allow pressing and holding buttons for different features. Water Filter Status Light and Filter Reset
The filter reset control allows you to restart the water filter status
tracking feature each time you replace the water filter. See "Water
Filtration System."
After changing the water filter, reset the status light. Press the
OPTIONS button to enter Options mode, then press LOCK to
initiate the reset, then press MEASURED FILL to confirm that
you want to reset the status light. When the system is reset,
the "Order" and "Replace" icons will disappear from the
display screen.
These instructions can be found in the=> GZ25FSRXYY2 User Manual .As for the dispenser and ice dispenser problem this could be related to a loose connection in the door where wiring attaches to control panel and/or where door wires go from door to cabinet also a defective pressure switch where glass is pressed to get water or ice. Can you tell me when this additional problem began? I am here should you need me, Thanks John Tripp Appliance 911

Oil an filter have nothing to do with engine light . The light is for the OBD2 emission standards , you car is polluting 1.5 times greater then the EPA allows . If the light is on there are DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes stored in the PCM / ECM -engine computer ! This is in America an it sounds like you mite be in the UK . We don't talk like that over here , fitted a new oil filter ! We would say put on or installed a new filter ! If in fact you are in the UK the light being still means there is a problem an a DTC is set .
If the light on your refrigerator is green, you don't need to change the filter. If it's red, then it's time to change it.
Next, locate the filter knob at the base of the refrigerator. Turn it 1/4 to the left and then pull out the filter. Put in the new filter, then lock it by turning th knob back to the right.
Reset the indication light inside the refrigerator by pushing it 5 times within 10 seconds. The light should then turn green again.
The red light on the filter Queen is on to tell you to empty the canister and change the filter. It is a heat sensor that makes it come on and if it is full it gets hot. Also when you take the motor piece off of the bucket under the nylon cone shaped guard that protects the motor there is a secondary filter in there that needs to be changed from time to time and they are supplied with the cones inside the package of rep[lacement cones there should be a spare or maybe two. It is a round thin filter about 3.5 inches across and it just fits in very easily and there is a plastic ring that holds it in place. So pop out the ring and remove the old one and then replace it with the new one put the ring in to hold it...it just snaps into place.replace the nylon guard and put in a new filter cone. Put the machine back together and away you go the light should turn off and you are good to go. Thanks for your time and please try to remember to click on the yes box if this was any help to you at all.
With the unit on - take off the front panel - right under where the "replace filter" light is, there is a button that says "Reset" hold that button in until it beeps - then the light should turn off. Hope this helps :)
Take the leaking filter off and inspect the rubber gasket. If it is damaged in any way discard it and purchase a new one. Take a small amount of clean oil and with your finger put a light coat of oil on the entire rubber gasket. Install the new filter and hand tighten 1/4 turn after it makes contact with the receiver. If your used filter gasket is ok clean the gasket and apply oil just as with a new filter.
Hi David,
To remove and replace the filter remove the two top pipes, they are held by a push clip.pop of get a socket to fit the nut and bar with ratchat apply pressure on the extention bar and very slowley turn anticlockwise. Lift the lid off to pull old filter out gently.Look at bottom of filter and undo the bottom drain hole bolt. Drain fuel out of the housing and make sure housing is clean. nip bottem bolt up very light finger tight no force or you will break Put back the rubber seal on the bottom side of of filter and gently reinsert filter back into the housing. Put a new rubberOring to hold the main seal, put the lid back on, and gently turn clockwise to refit the filter. Re connect pipes. Turn ignition on for 30 seconds, turn off then turn back on to purge air from fuel lines and start the vehicle.
bang the side of the starter with a hammer (dead blow) and hold the start button. sounds like the starter solenoid is frozen. if not check the relay, and the switch, you can check the switch by doing a continuity test on it. good luck ill check back...
