Make sure that airflow is not restricted. I had a frig on carpet and had to put it on a sheet of MDF to facilitate air movement underneath and moved away all the stuff around the outside of the frig.

HI HAVE GOT A SWAN SH3010 DEHUMIDIFIER BUT THE COIL KEEPS FREEZING OVER WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?

Nothing. That's how it works. The coil gets cold. The moisture(water) in the air freezes to the coil. The coil then gets warm and the ice melts, dripping into the bucket or out the drain hose.

Drain line on rheem raka037jaj cenyral air unit not draining and cois freeze up

Hello, coils will freeze either to low airflow or low refrigeramt charge. Make sure filter, blower wheel and evaporator coil are clean. If they appear clean there is a low refrigerant charge.

If i set the temp to low on my window air conditioner can it cause the unit to freeze up

Under some conditions, it could freeze up. High humidity levels can cause the coils to freeze. Not cleaning the air intake filter regularly, can also cause the coils to freeze. However, most window units can not be set below 65 degrees. But, in high humidity, it could freeze at that temp.

If you want to avoid the possibility of the coils freezing, operate a ceiling fan or other small fan as fast as comfortable. This keeps the cool air moving a generates a wind chill that fools your body into thinking it's cooler than it really is. Doing this will keep you from having to turn the AC way down and thus, save on energy cost.

I hope this has helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

My A/C freezing its coils, while the fans keep running. The AC unit (outside) keep running and never stop caused the coils freezing. It doesn't matter when I turn off or set it to Cool position, the...

Sounds like the contactor in the condensing unit is stuck. That is why it will not turn off when the thermostat is satisfied. If the inside air handler is not blowing and the outside condensing unit is running, then this will cause the inside coils to freeze up rather quickly.
The contactor is located in the outside condensing uni in the electrical compartment.
If it is sticking it will need to be replaced.

The unit keeps freezing up solid even on energysaver

Change or clean the filter and clean both coils, no air flow or reduced air flow, the coil will freeze. It will also freeze if its set to cold 72 min. setting. Example if your room temp is 72 degrees, than the air will be 52, and the coil temp is 32 degrees, any moisture will freeze. Hope this helps

My freezer coil keeps freezing up. I replaced the

In the freezer coil is a defrost heater coil, and a defrost thermostat. You have to expose the freezer coil to find them. If your local dealer can't get parts, I get mine from Repairclinic.com.
