Purple screen problem

More than likely you will need to replace the display screen. If you are still under warranty, see if you can get it replaced

If not, a new LCD screen runs about 15 dollars shipped from eBay and is pretty easy to replace.

Check out the following link for instructions on replacing the LCD display and links to buy the screen.

I hope that helps you out

Sony ericson lashing white screen

It should be the software problem. Or the LCD. You can check by charging it. If it charges ok its NOT the software problem. it should be the LCD. and that can be change at the phone shop.

How do you open a W850i to replace the lcd

www.formymobile.co.uk/Dismantle/w850disassembly.htm follow this link but be careful unplugging and refitting the ribbon plugs if the connections are not tight the screen will show white or will flash on and off. If the socket gets broken you will need to get a upper keypad membrane which has the new socket in it and also the connections for the speaker. John.
