OK - if you're like me, you've had this range for more than a few years. We started having this error (on and off) for about 6 months. Then the right front burner showed this error whenever you turn on that burner. Well, if you know how to use an electric screw driver, a little sandpaper, and a pair of pliers...you may be able to fix this - it is a possible solution.
1) turn off the power to the stovetop 2) lift the range above the countertop 3) remove the screws just below the glass portion of the countertop (this may take skill if you're using a power screwdriver...maybe not with regular screwdriver) 4) look at the connection near the burner coils - if it is slightly corroded or seems loose - you've found the problem (as I did) 5) use some sandpaper on the connector (male and female) 6) slightly crimp the female part of that connector (careful don't crush her!) 7) put the male into the female connector 8) put the top back on and put back the screws 9) turn the power on and 10) hopefully it works! If not, you may need to replace a $225 controller board (which isn't too hard to do - if you did this already - and saved the time and money of repairs).
Good Luck...you'll do fine!
You will need a serviceman for this one as it is a serious problem.
note: rr is right rear, lf is left front and so on.
Usually this indicates a problem with the elements or worse - electronics (if it's the electronic version).
Hi
The
issue seems to be with the switch that is bad and should be replaced. Hope this
helps...please post back with its model no for further assistance.
