You need to clean the carb system and maybe replace the bulb.

I have replaced primer bulb and fuel lines and filter and still won't prime

Easy way to see if you have fuel lines reversed.

Detach the fuel return line (the fuel line that does not have the filter) at the carburetor.

Press the the purge bulb several times. If fuel doesn't fill the bulb and come out at the detached carb port, move the remaining fuel line (line with filter) to the other carburetor port. Press purge bulb several times.

If still no fuel then likely the internal carb fuel screen is plugged or other carb failure.

Echo 260 hedge clipper not showing gas in purge bulb -won't start.

If you cannot get bulb to fill then something is wrong with the valves inside the carburetor. That is not a repairable item.- you need to get new carburetor.

Will not start. Bulb will not fill with gas. Hw difficult is it to fix?

Difficult to answer your question as the fault with the purge bulb could be a stuck, missing or damaged valve or a fuel blockage.

You don't say how old the unit is or how much use it has had.

I suggest you begin by removing the inlet pipe and filter assembly from the fuel tank and ensure it is clear and undamaged. If that is found to be ok I suggest you suspect the none-return valves of the purge system.

Why does the engine only run at full choke?

You're not telling us anything about its history or other symptoms. Given that, it's got fuel delivery problems, to possibly include: clogged fuel filter, cracked or collapsed fuel line, leaking purge bulb, clogged carb screen, stiff or leaking carb diaphragm or loose carb mt bolts, for starters. Replace lines, bulb & filter & rebuild carb first, in that order. Pay close attention to fuel line routing- take pix. You'll need a special tool to adjust carb mixture- Husqy carb tool

Weed Eater PE550 711431, new primer bulb will not pop back after second second push.

FIXED- No start Weed Eater with the symptom of the primer bulb collapsed, not filling nor returning to pop out after pressed.

Worked in model WT-3100 with Walbro carburetor WT-583 and has to work in many others. It happened after winter hibernation, even when left with no fuel to prevent formation of fuel deposits.

FIRST, mark/scribe the carburetor fuel outlet that has the hose towards the primer purge bulb as 'OUT' and the fuel inlet coming from the fuel tank 'IN'
The problem was a fine mesh metal screen strainer blocked by contaminants, inserted at place shown as number '3' in figure 7 at
----> www.drystacked.com/Walbro%20Carburetor%20Theory%2027Jun2010.pdf
That fine mesh was removed by prying its edges around with a sewing needle held by pliers.
It you cannot see light trough it holding it against a lamp, is blocked even if looks clean.
Removed, discarded, reassembled and started. Later ordered the part or kit but was able to use the machine immediately.

Writing this as am tired of seeing responses like 'may be this' or 'try that' or 'perhaps the other' by guessers.

Not getting fuel replaced primer and hoses and not

It's easy to mess this up as I've done it in the past. If the unit has an external purge bulb, the fuel line from the fuel tank that has the fuel filter on it goes directly to the carburetor...near the part of the carb that holds the fuel pump and has the grooved cover (where an inbuilt purge bulb would be). The other line coming out of the fuel tank goes to the purge bulb. The side of the carburetor that has the diaphragm and metering lever cover has the line going to the purge bulb. Remember, this is not really a primer...the purge bulb pulls air and old fuel out of the carb and when it does this, fresh fuel flows into it...and then the bulb pushes that air and old fuel back into the fuel tank. Hope this helps.

Routing of fuel lines for a weedeater bv200 type 2. Which lines go where from the carb into the tank?

The line with the filter goes to the bottom of the carb. The other line goes to the outlet side of the primer bulb and the other line from the primer bulb goes to the top of the carb (The primer sucks gas through the carb).
Good luck!
Ps. if you are not sure which nipple of the primer is the outlet port then put your finger on one of the ports and push the bulb. If the bulb stays ridged then that's the outlet and if it collapses but doesn't fill but up then that's the inlet side.
