There are 2 leveling systems in the lasermark lasers. The original was belt driven. The belts are rubber O rings, and break down over time. take the bottom off the laser and you can replace broken belts. It's a simply yet elegant system.
The newer ones use leveling cams. A tear drop shaped wheel on a motor, that raises and lowers one end of an axis to tilt the laser. The problem is because they have a hook at one end, they put a magnet in the cam to tell the laser when to stop turning the cam. If however, it reaches the limit, and then gets bumped it'll get the leveling axis stuck in the hook of the cam, and because the magnet is there, it will never relevel. What you have to do is, disassemble the laser, unplug the leveling motors and pull the wires for the magnet sensor out of the stuck axis. then swap the sensor from the other sensor in (as it wont level without reading the sensor) and then turn the unit on. It should be able to level at that point. The put all the wires back where they go, and you're on your way.

Scholtes FE46 and the door is locked. Also no clock/timer lights. Temp/function and oven work but is locked even though completely cold.

Here are a couple of things to try:
  1. Unplug the unit or shut off the circuit breaker for 5 minutes. Plug the unit back in or turn on the circuit breaker. Set the clock and gently try moving the door lock lever (is so equipped) or opening the door.
  2. Set the self-clean cycle again and only allow it to work for 15 minutes. Cancel the self-clean cycle and allow the oven to cool. Gently try moving the door lock lever (is so equipped) or opening the door.

Admiral electric range with self cleaning oven

Hey there gcato1, your problem is actually a protective feature designed to prevent you from getting burned. The self cleaning feature runs at extremely hot temps. Until the temperature reaches a safe level, the oven door will remain latched. Be patient and the problem will solve itself.

How do a get my tool to level it self? I have not used this tool in about 5 years it is like new. It has been sitting in my garage and I went to use it to set some plum and level lines and it will not

Bill the level is a pendulum type of device, therefore it is self leveling as long as it is within about 5 degrees of level. The pendulum has a lock for when it is not in use, make sure that you unlock this so the the unit can self level. It also has a flashing out-of-level indicator to warn you if you have not set the unit up within the 5 degrees of actual/real level. Paul.

Tried to clean it. Door has locked and won't cycle open again. Help!

Hello.

To close an oven door when it's in the locked position andthe door is open, press and hold the oven door light switch while followingthese simple steps:
  • Program the oven to self-clean.
  • Wait 20 seconds.
  • Cancel self-clean.
  • Wait 20 seconds.
To self-clean your wall oven, follow these simple steps:
  • Remove the oven racks.
  • Set your oven control to "Clean."
  • Select a cleaning time or choose a cleaning level: light, medium or heavy. For typical cleaning needs, we recommend that you select a cleaning time of three hours or choose the medium setting.
  • Select "Start." (To set a delayed start, see your Use & Care Guide.)

Note: For safety reasons, the oven door will remain locked until the oven coolsdown. When it is sufficiently cool, the door will automatically unlock Thanks for using fixya.

When trying to use either upper or lower oven, panel flashing "Control Locked." Won't work.

Try this:

2. Currentoptionwillappearin thedisplay.

3. PresstheAUTOSETpadtochangethe

4. PressCANCELpadtosetthe displayed

The LOCK is option 4 change the OPTION from 4 to 9.
9 is the factory default settings.

This should work. However.... there is the possibility that the unit had performed a self clean function. If you just completed a self clean cycle it can but up to 1 hour AFTER the cycle before you can open the door or use the oven as the range must cool down and cycle a thermostat before it wil work again.

There is also the possibility that the door lock has not completely retracted. If you can get it to start a self clean cycle.... after 1 minute press cancel and the lock should retract. (I know you said won't do anything) I am hoping that after you reset the options from 4 to 9 that you might be able to do this.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,

How do we level the washing machine. The legs/bolts come out but we can't get them to lock in the position we want.

Hello, Thank You for using FixYa. I will be helping you today. The front legs should have a lock nut on them and the rear legs are self leveling legs. You level the front then lean the unit forward and drop the back and they will level.Only drop it like 3 inches.
