Noisy rattling fan Dell OptiPlex 780 MT Desktop Computer

Hi mmm it sounds to me like your motherboard has got some problems. sometimes running system tests through the boot menu may help but should indicate weather you need a new motherboard or not. Sometimes a good clean inside computer is the way to go as well... Hope this helps

Try a different blank DVD, 0 space means that is something written on that CD.

With Windows Vista, 7 and 8 the computer is suppose to give an alert when installing a new program

You may want to replace the fan. You can call the Dell Spare Parts Department at 1-877-717-3355 to purchase a fan.

You can't.

There is no card reader on most models of the Optiplex 780. There may be a card reader on the SFF unit. The MT, desktop and USFF do not include a card reader. You can add a 3.5" internal card reader to the MT or desktop models for under $20. You could use an external USB card reader with any Optiplex 780.

Its the fault from the motherboard but i can help you
Please change the front panel's whole audio connector for the same after that issue will resolved..
