My Janome Harmony 2049 was sewing beautifully and all the sudden something POPPED. The needle will barely go up or down and I cannot get it to release.

I bought this machine used and I do not have an owners Manuel. I took the housing off the light/needle are and do not see anything broken, but without a manuel, I'm just not sure what the problem is. Until this incident, the machine was working perfectly - I've been sewing all day.

You won't even look at my problem unless I pay you money but you want me to tell you, for free, how I fixed the problem? Doesn't seem fair to me. I will post my solution on a free forum. Sorry to all you folks looking for the solution.

How do I turn corners with the overlock foot for a Janome 2049?
Sew to the end of the fabric, slowing right down to within a stitch or two of the end, manually turn wheel to complete last two stitches, stop, raise needle, raise presser foot, turn fabric so the back edge of the fabric is just under the needle, drop needle, drop presser foot and resume.
