Being a newer fridge I would look at the control board being faulty. They do not Handel porters surges very well and you may have blown a relay or resistor on the board. I would install a surge protector on anything you own with electronics in the future.
Flashing is either an error code or the set trying to boot up--some of the Mitsubishi sets if power removed will blink for a minute and then stop--then the set can be turned on.
You can try a new AC adapter.If that does not work,it will need to be repaired by a Nintendo authorized center.(I used to work at one).If you do by a new one PLEASE buy Nintendo brand.The "off" brands usually end up in some kind of problem down the road.

I'm sorry there isn't. Answering machines like this have very little ROM memory. After a powersurge and outage like last night, it wiped the whole memory chip. You can try there support page. It's actually pretty good.
