Replace the transfer belt unit. A 917 is a belt **** sensor error.

Power off/on917:Fatal Error
This is the message I'm getting on my Oki 9650 printer. I've turned everything off, unpluged, then started again. Aany ideas as to what might be causing this or better, how to fix it?

What is the cause of OKI C3200n fatal error 173
Fatal error code 173:
This error indicates that the Image Drum Up/Down Process is not working properly. The errors are as follows:
140 - Yellow Drum Up/Down error
141 - Magenta Drum Up/Down error
142 - Cyan Drum Up/Down error
Solution:
1. Reseat the Image Drums. Ensure they are in seating properly into the drum carriage.
2. Reseat the Toner Cartridges. Ensure they are seating properly into the Image Drums.
3. Reseat the Contact Sensor Spring assembly and inspect it for damage or mis-alignment. If the springs appear bent or dis-lodged reseat them.

I've unplugged it, replugged it, and still get "service call 173:fatal error"
check mechanical error on your printer by sending it to the actual technician..

929 fatal error on my oki 9600 printer
This is a very unusual error. 929 refers to the waste toner motor not running properly. Remove the waste toner bottle and put a hoover to the outlet to the bottle in case the toner is hard and blocking the exit of toner into the bottle.

Fatal error 917 on an Oki C9600 printer. What does this mean and how can I resolve the problem. Many thanks James
A fatal error 917 means there is a problem regarding the belt **** sensor.

Usually it means the printer can't see the transfer belt rotating.

First thing to try is to remove and re install the transfer belt, if that does not work you should replace the transfer belt.

Power Off/On Fatal Error : 917
The 917 fatal error is a belt **** se sensor error. This could be caused by the belt not installed correctly or the belt at the end of its life, or the belt being torn. Please power the printer off and then reseat the transfer belt and then power the printer back on. If the error remains then I will need you to check the life remaining on the transfer belt. Also make sure the transfer belt is not torn.

From OKI error list:

Error 172 - Upper Heater Temp State: High
Heat Roller Thermistor indicates high temp

Solution:
Turn off printer, let cool down.
If problem still exists seek service
