My hp leser jet 2420 printer shows me an error Error 49.2FD9 what is the solution

hi i found the problem in hp laserjet 2420 printer error 41.2

REPLACE FORMATTER.

To solve the problem, REPLACE THE BLACK TONER CARTRIDGE!!!
It doesn't get much easier than that.

This is a Fan issue you have 2 of them one on the front right side and one on the left. if you remove both covers see which one is not working
Now if their are both working then you will need to replace the ECU (Engine Control Unit).

I've attached a link that shows you how to remove the covers off the 2420 it's a pdf file .
And the Left side cover will need to be removed to access the other fan.

power on your printer, after you see processing data the second time, press cancel.
Everytime I have seen this error is because the user tries to print a PDF file that is corrupt.
This has worked for me in the past.

please reference the service manual from page 89 shows how to remove and reinstall the fuser unit, download from:

choose second one PDF file and download for a while. then go to page 89.

Upgrading the firmware should resolve the issue.
