Hi There,
Since you don't say which password doesn't work, I'm going to assume you mean the password needed to logon to the computer itself...
If you have the OS (operating system) install disks that came with the laptop, or a Mac OS install disk, you can start up from the disk by inserting it into the optical drive when the Mac is on; then restart and hold down the "C" key immediately after hearing the chime-sound.
-You'll need to hold the "C" key down until you see a grey screen with the Apple logo in it and a spinning 'pinwheel' below the apple.
Once your Mac starts from the OS installer disk, you'll see the screen for doing a new installation of the operating system.
Click on the arrow at the bottom right corner of the window that comes up.
Then, look at the menu bar at top of the screen and click on the "Utilities" Menu, and choose "Reset Password".
This will open a new window that is pretty self-explanatory as to setting a new password for the various Users that have been created on your Mac.
Hope this helps & good luck!

I forgot the password to enter my MacBook Pro , how can i fix it?

Do a google search for reset lost password in Mac OSX.
Here are two responses from such a query:
see http://www.wikihow.com/Reset-a-Lost-Admin-Password-on-Mac-OS-X
or
http://coolestguidesontheplanet.com/reset-forgotten-admin-password-mac-osx/

Both contain specific steps too long to mention here.

Hpw to reset macbook pro

  1. Turn off your Mac (if it isn't already off).
  2. Hold down these four keys right after you press the power button: command+option+P+R (that will reset the PRAM).
  3. Keep holding down those four buttons until your Mac restarts and you hear the second startup chime.

Mac laptop got wet and won't turn on

Try opening the cover and drying it with a hair dryer. It sounds silly, but it works

Macbook won't charge

Your battery is probably not working anymore. Go to an apple store and ask for the repair.

How to break password from apple laptop Bios

Try the following, and please let us know if it worked:

Start with the Mac off. Power it on while holding Command-Option-P-R (that's the Command key and the Option key and P and R). That will reset the Parameter RAM.

Do this three (yes, three) times. Each time, start with the Mac off. Three times should reset the firmware password.

This should work for PowerPC Macs. I don't think it's possible to set a firmware password on the Intel Macs. (BTW, Macs don't have a BIOS. It's called the firmware.)

Good luck! Please rate me if this solves your problem.

Password problem

Here is a quick fix for resetting your Mac password.

1. Hold Apple+S when your Mac is booting to enter "single-user" mode.
2. Type "sh /etc/rc" without the quotes.
3. Type "passwd USERNAME" without the quotes, replace USERNAME with your actual Mac username you forgot the password to.
4. Reboot your Mac by typing "reboot" without the quotes.

Hope this helps.
