Coffee brewing to slow

Have you taken the sprayhead off (remove basket and look up)? This copper tube gets clogged with lime/calcium and needs to be cleaned. They have a delimer that usually comes with a new bunn, (12 inch coily spring) that needs to be ran up the tube that the sprayhead is connected to. If it is still slow after that, the the tank itself has a buildup inside.

Why is my coffeemaker taking more than 4 minutes to brew a pot of coffee

  1. Be sure that your SPEEDBREW® Coffeemaker brew control dial is set to 'Brew Regular' when brewing regular coffee. Please note that using the 'Brew Decaf' setting will slow the brewing process. It is recommended that the 'Brew Decaf' setting be used when brewing decaffeinated coffee.
  2. Your SPEEDBREW® Coffeemaker may need to be cleaned.

Slow brewing

The coffee maker has three contributory factors for brewing experiences. First, putting enough water in container prior to brewing is expected to dispense in to coffee capture cup. Second, installing the component parts after inserting coffee leaflets should not hinder brew seepage into the cup. Third, allowing enough time for the brew to dispense is a requisite means to coffee impressions. Furth, coffee leaflets require appropiate numbers inserted at the container area lest the machine takes time to sock and dispense. However, refer to the device user guide for appropiate manufacturers instructures to user as expectations during brewing. Also, refer to the user guide to ascertain any conditions that may be signs of damage preventing fast brewing.

Saeco Odea Go - slow to brew coffee, comes out of steam valve

The steam valve needs to be replaced, because the pins have been damaged from high pressure buildup, could have been caused from a very fine grind. You can also check the screen in the brew unit that might be blocked and causing the high pressure backup.

Slow to brew

Make sure you are not using a paper filter and a gold tone filter at the same time.

Make sure the carafe lid is down all the way and that the center knob of the carafe lid is making contact with the spring at the bottom of the filter basket.

If the above conditions have been met, then decalcify your coffeemaker by running 1/3 carafe worth of vinegar and 2/3 carafe worth of water through your coffeemaker - use the self-clean button to do this - will take about 35 minutes.

Brew time

If you have hard water, minerals may have built up in the unit, slowing down the flow. You should be able to find some sort of mineral-dissolving treatment for it at your local grocery or hardware store. Make sure to run a few pots of plain water when you are done, to get any residue out!
