I-phone not recognising optus sim card after use with i-tunes

take the phone into an optus shop , buy a new sim card and have them set it up to the optus service provider

yes - optus uses a different frequency range for 3g data than what Telstra uses.

Try and remove the battery and the sim card,and bend inward the sim card holder just a little,sounds like the sim card holder is allowing the sim card not to make connection.

If you did not insert a different SIM card in your mobile phone, then the SIM card may have developed a fault or the SIM card has run out of credits and needs to be re-charged.
I suggest you contact Optus to sort out this problem.

THe webslider is a boost phone and the company of optus makes it, even though optus owns part of virgin the sim card will no work. Only boost sim cards and also optus sim cards will work

hey i have fixed this problem on my phone (htc touch hd, telstra) and this is how i did it- go settings, connections, go advanced tab down bottom, click select networks, click new on the top bar under programs that auto..... enter in OptusInternet (exactly like this).... then click modem tab down bottom then click new..... enter in OptusInternet again and chance cellular line bar to cellular line (GPRS, 3G)... then click next and for access point name type in internet.............. click ok ok x and then load up internet explorer and it should work

However the current problem i am still facing is opera wont run..... explorer will but opera doesnt load. just sits there untill it comes up with error 104 blah blah blah- still working out how to fix this as i hate internet explorer and opera is way better (going to try downloading opera 9.5 beta again and see if that works)

sim cards do fail sometimes , try a new sim card.
try your sim in another phone .
another possibility is dirt in the charging point / data cable connection.
