Sony Ericsson W880

The sound went out on my W880. The only way I can tell I'm getting a call is if the vibration is on. The ringer just went out. It wasn't dropped or nothing was spilled on it.

My iphne 3 will only vibrate but not ring

If you're missing incoming phone calls due to your iPhone not ringing, you may have accidentally switched the ringer to vibrate or silent, according to Apple. The switch on the left side of the iPhone turns off the ringer and usually sets your phone to vibrate mode, but if your iPhone's vibrate setting is also disabled the phone will instead be set to silent mode. When in the phone's sound settings vibrate mode can be enabled, and the ringer volume of your phone is adjustable.

VIBRATE STAYS ON

Follow the below instructions and you can remove the vibrate state. I have included a link to download the phone's manual as a PDF file.

Sound Settings
Ringer Types
Ringer types help you identify incoming calls and messages.
You can assign ringer types to individual Contacts entries,
types of calls, and types of messages.
Downloaded Ringers can be downloaded right to your
phone.
Preprogrammed Ringers include a variety of standard
ringer types and familiar music.
Vibrating Ringer alerts you to calls or messages without
disturbing others.
Selecting Ringer Types for Voice Calls
Your phone provides a variety of ringer options that allow you
to customize your ring and volume settings. These options
allow you to identify incoming calls by the ring.
To select a ringer type for voice calls:
1. Select Menu > Settings > Sounds > Ringer Type >
Voice Calls.
2. Select With Caller ID or No Caller ID.

1. Press Menu > Settings/Tools > Settings > Sounds > Ringer Type > Voice Calls. 2. Select Caller IDor No Caller ID. (A list of ring type categories will be displayed.) 3. My rumor 2 wont vibrate when i get a text message, i have went though every sound setting i can find an turned everything to vibrate but it still wont work, any ideas?

Here is what you need to do:
First, make a blank voice recording. It can be 1 second, trust me and do it :)

Second: Go into your menu and go to ringer types for text messages.

Select voice recordings (or reminders) it is the second one on the list.

Select the recording you just made (the blank one).

Make sure you have a vibration selected for the texts.

And there you go! Put the volume on max and have a text sent just to make sure it works and you do not hear anything.

I just did this as a solution for a customer who did not want any noise for the texts, just the vibration. For it to vibrate, it needs to have a ringer selected. Something a tester overlooked, no doubt.
