The 2 most right status (toner and bulb) are on

Hi there, I have bought this printer recently, less than 2 weeks, printed less than 30 pages and it is unable to print. Instead, it always print the status report, saying cartridge is low when THE STATUS REPORT IS PRINTED with no fadings. Please advise, need to print urgent matters. Tried holding the start button, tried resetting photoconductor count, does not seem to work..

Hello, Leah.

From Lexmark Support:

The photoconductor counter has not been properly reset.

Menus are represented by Continue , Ready , Toner Low/Replace PC Kit , and Load Paper light
sequences. Menu items and their settings are indicated by Paper Jam and Error light sequences.

• Press and release Cancel to advance through menus and menu items.
• Press and release Continue to advance to the setting you need.
• Press and hold Continue until all of the lights cycle to perform a function or to save a setting.
• Press and hold Cancel until all of the lights cycle to return to the Home menu.
• Turn off the printer to exit the menus.

In the Utilities Menu, for Reset Photoconductor Counter, press and hold Continue to initiate this operation and return the photoconductor counter to zero.

Hope this resolves your problem.

New ink cartridge only last less than two weeks after printing less than 30 pages

I had that model and the same experience. I kept buying ink until I realized I could have nearly bought the printer for nearly the same cost as ink refills, black and color. I also had an HP. Same thing. I finally bought the Kodak 3250. The ads about ink costs was so correct. Many more pages are printed before the "need ink" message is displayed. Buying ink online saves even more.

Hl-1440 printer red, yellow lights keep flashing on and off prints ok what is it

Normally nothing to e alarmed about. As you said, it still appera to print okay. This flasing is a warning that your toner is low and will soon need to be replaced. If you recently replaced the toner artridge and know this not to be the case, print out a supplies status page from the onboard menu to see if it show low. Sometimes we are not aware of how much we have printed, hence the warning and the printer is usually right.

Iam having MFP 1522NF printer...In that while copying...right side of paper is coming light.

Hi Kaurrs,

I have a 1522nf myself.
Here are a few steps you can try to get this printer fixed
1) Try scanning to the computer to check if the problem is related to the scanner bulb or to the printing side of the unit, if you see the problem on the scan job we can tell tall problem is while capturing the image.
2) Print a supply status report to cjeck on the level of toner on the cartridge, you can print this directly from the physical unit : MAIN MENU>REPORTS>SUPPLY STATUS, if the toner level is low (less than 10 %) i would try replacing the cartridge
3) You can try running 3 calibrations in a row from Main Menu>System Setup>Print Quality> calibrate colors> calibrate now
4) Run 2 cleaning modes under the printer main menu>service>cleaning mode

If after doing this you still have problems you can contact me directly to :

Replaced black toner..now printer won't print any

In this case, actually it is not the Black toner that got depleted. Here the message being displayed indicate that one of the color Toner supply need to be replaced as it got depleted and currently the printer is printing in Black and white using the Black toner cartridge.

in this case, to troubleshoot these issues please try performing the following and check for the results.

* 1. Check for the level of the toner cartridges:

a) Check from the HP Toolbox application. Here are the steps to be performed from your PC:

* Access the Toolbox software.
* Select the Status tab.
* Select the Device status option.

Here you can check for the supplies status in terms of the % remaining for each toner cartridges.

b) By checking the supplies status from the printer control panel display.

On the printer display when printer is in Ready mode the supplies status can be checked from the supplies level indicator. Each toner cartridge and the Imaging drum level will be indicated by a bar which varies according to the level of the supplies present.

c) Print the supplies status page from the printer.

* On the printer control panel menu, press Menu .
* Use the (Right Arrow) button to select Reports, and then press Enter .
* Use the (Right Arrow) button to select Supplies Status, and then press Enter .

If any of the color toner cartridges and the Imaging drum have a low supply level replace them with genuine HP print cartridges.

The part numbers of the consumables are as follows:

* Black print cartridge - Q3960A
* Cyan print cartridge - Q3971A
* Magenta print cartridge - Q3973A
* Yellow print cartridge - Q3972A
* Imaging Drum - Q3964A

Out of toner........ but not really.....

Print a Supplies Status page to see the actual pages printed...

To print the Supplies Status page from the printer, on the printer control panel, select
Reports Menu, Supplies Status, and then Print Supplies Status page.

If the page count from the Supplies Status page indicates that the toner should not be in need of replacement then you have a bad cartridge. Actually, the cartridge is probably fine but the chip on the cartridge has got a problem. Return the cartridge to O.D. and get another one. Unfortunately, chips that don't work properly in not all that unusual so HP has a pretty easy return policy.

Hope this helps.

MF4150 Printing all Black - pages covrerd in black

Yes. Exchange it while you can. It will more difficult after the first 30 days. Could be a toner cartridge not seated properly. Or could be a high voltage power supply.
