Check if its just dirty "eyes"...they are in the middle where you put the paper in; clean them with a soft cloth ( unplug the shredder first.)
If that dos'nt fix it then it could be defective "eyes" or the pcb...you can call Royal at 1-800-524-0799 for parts and prices.
