I put the CD into the computer, and it takes me to a user's guide online. I plug it into my computer and it asks for the driver, as if it were not plug and play, is there some sort of driver or patch I can download to get my device to work on my computer?

Are you running Windows Vista? if so, you are out of luck - not compatible. This company is out of business - if it doesn't work just by plugging it into computer, then take it back to Wal-Mart immediately
I also have windows vista. I inserted the disc that came along with the ilo mp3 player and it accepted and recognizes the player. My husband and I bought it for our daughter for Christmas and she loves it. I would suggest uninstalling the program from the disc then reinstalling it. It took the 1st time for us when we downloaded. I hope this help's you out.
I have windows vista...when I try to download the cd in order to use my mp3 player. It says to download a newer version of start up cd.....however the site it takes me to says my version on my windows vista is 'newer' than the download and I cannot find the 'newest version'
You do not have the sufficiant driver software to run the disc because windows vista is too new for older versions of cd-rom software.
This is a common problem. You need to install the latest driver software for it to work. Trust me. Good Luck!
