I have GE Monogram Side by Side. Purchased back in August 2006. It has been pretty good except for the ice maker. After the first year a leak ruined our new wood floors. Recently the ice maker has stopped working. When looking into the unit itself the green light is flashing. We have an extended warranty, however can't get any answers to the NOT PRODUCING ICE situation. And why is the green light flashing. Can anyone advise!

The green light flashing is a fault code, usually for a no, or long fill situation, GE has nixed this electronic ice maker and returned to one that looks similar but is non electronic, while your ice maker is probably at fault you may actually have a separate issue causing the ice maker to display a fault code, such as a spent water filter, or low water pressure, or even a bad water valve on the fridge it's self. IM6 is the current replacement ice maker kit for previous ice makers. Pleazer Appliance...

The water solenoid valve should have 120v going to it. (You will need a multimeter to chk this). You will need to also chk. for proper ground when verifying the 120v. If you get 120v on each of the pin clips, then your plug is not properly grounded, which means that you need a new ice maker circuit board. This is located in the in dispenser (front panel opens).

This sounds like the float mechanism has gone bad. Remove it and have a look. It may be the float or the switch on it that is bad. There is also a solenoid valve. Parts kits are available. Shut off the water first!

Your model uses a electronic ice maker. If the tray has srinking cubes and if you fill to top with tap water, let freeze and if it does not drop the ice the problem most ikely is the icemaker mode=> WR30X10093 The ice maker has a thermistor or thermostat built in and communicates with the circuit board inside to tell when it is time to cycle. You can try the water test and let me know but this is a typical failure with that type of ice maker. If this solve you ice maker problem please rate me. If not explain what you tried and we will try the second test. If need you may contact me here on Fixya or my Forum=> Appliance 911 My contact information is located above the Fixya Ad on my blog here=> Sea Breeze Appliance Parts and Technical Services, Thanks, Sea Breeze

Hello. My G.E. Monogram water dispenser trickles water after we get water from it. We have to keep a cup there to catch the excess water. How do I fix it so it stops as soon as we get water out of t

Try replacing the Water Valve. It is located in the back of the refrigerater, left side. You should see three tubes connected to it. This part fixes the following symptoms - Leaking water, Water dispenser will not dispense water, Ice maker will not make ice and Ice maker won't dispense ice. GE part#WR57X10032. The Water Valve is extreemly easy to replace. Only takes about 15 mins total time to remove, install and confirm. I just replaced mines..my problem went from leaking water to no water was dispensing at all. I have the GE Profile, it uses the same water valve as your GE Monogram. There is a You Tub video that also shows how to replace. Good Luck!

Fridge temperature has suddenly dropped to 15

Check the door gaskets, condenser fan, refrigerator fan and the freezer fan. That should narrow down the problem.

Water leaking from top of freezer into icemaker and right side of freezer. Coils, etc. are clean.

Is the water condensing and winding up in the ice maker or is there an actual leak in the ice maker water feed line?

GE Monogram leaking water on right side bottom door

If this refrigerator has a Energy Saver mode, turn it on.

Then, check the door gasket for the refrigerator to make sure it's not leaking. Test by placing a crisp dollar bill on the door jamb with the door open, close the door, and you should feel resistance to pulling the dollar out. Check with particular emphasis on the place where you see water leaking or accumulating
