Unplugged the power cable from the modem to reset because internet had no connection, when plugging the power back on, there was no power light on and the modem was not responding with any light indications, the electricity is working with other outlets...is the problem could be with the power cable or the modem just died??

You can try doing a "Hard reset" on the modem but it looks like you've tried most combinations. To do the hard reset: - unplug the coax cable from the back of the modem - Push and hold the "reset" button in for 15 seconds - Allow the modem 30 seconds to reinitialize and then plug the coax cable back in. Within 10minutes you should have activity back. If not, the modem needs to be replaced. I know you may have tried something similar to this but I'm hoping this may help.

The only time you need software for a Motorola SB4200 is if you are using USB. If you use ethernet then it is simply plug and play, no drivers required.
The USB Drivers are here.
