You must specify for what reason why you need an photo transistor and remote?and also how about the unit`s light touch swithes,all are working?if no one on soft touch swith is functioning,something wrong in your system control circuit inside your unit.there are many reasons and trouble shooting to be considered about your remote and receiver

My remote wont turn on or off

First of all have you replaced the battery in the remote? They do need replacing every so often. Some times remotes do wear out and will not work then you have to get a replacement.Is there any thing covering the front of your unit you are operating. If you cover the electronic eye your remote will not work and also make sure the electronic eye on your remote is clean and clear.

1 1/4 inch OD is a standard size for eyepieces. You should be able to buy eyepieces in other focal lengths at any shop that sells telescopes, or online. I found hundreds of them with a quick search on Amazon, some made by Meade.

Remote control will not work for my blu ray dvd

Sounds like your DVD players infrared receiving sensor(eye) has gone bad, a rare occurance but I have had that fail in other electronic units before.This would require you to send it in for service but the cost of the repair may justify just replacing the unit. Good luck !

Remote has gone dead

contact sony and ask for a new remote, they always have stocks for head unit remotes... these remote controls are usually disposable... if you don't want to buy a new one.. just take your remote to the nearest electronic shack and have it repaired.
