My blender is not functioning how to assemble it properly and switch it on
SOURCE: Food Processor assembly
Hi Janne,
I bought a DCL 8M about 20 years ago and still have the original manual. Mashing potatoes is one of the few tasks that the manual discouraged. The potatoes turn into glue. I tried mashing potatoes with the flat blade and extra liquid. It still tasted awful. I do puree potato soup in batches, First I mash all the solids (potatoes and leek or potato and tomatoes), then add the liquid. For some reason, pureeing the soup works well.
I am sorry I could not be more helpful.

The motor shaft that spins the teeth that are on the base of the blender may be frozen up for some reason. If you purchased the duet within the last 3 years and have a receipt, call Cuisinart to get it repaired in warranty - even if you don't have a receipt, your serial number may still save you. If you purchased it more than 3 years ago, let me know.

Place the gearbox on top of the blender/food processor
Place the work bowl over the spindle, with the handle facing the front of the machine - make sure the tabs lock into place.
Place the stem adapter on top of the spindle, then the blade.
Place the lid on top of the bowl, with the feed tube facing the back of the food processor. Then the pusher into the feed tube.

I had same problem and found answer on another website:
Front on machine is the one with the label on it.
One thing: the instructions aren't particularly clear on assembly. The bowl handle should be *toward* you when you lock it on the base, pointing toward you when you stand facing the label side with motor to right and bowl to your left. Then the lid just slides right on and when you turn counterclockwise a quarter of a turn it locks into place with no effort as the key slides into the slot and locks. I had this idea the handle should be on the backside of the machine, and it will fit on that way, but then you can't get the lid to fit securely.
