pls set the paper size to the actual paper size you load.. you have probably selected legal size in your pc and load an A4 size paper onto the printer...
Look at the fuser, and see if you can see a bad area on the fuser roller, matching the position on the paper. I suspect a bad fuser. Fusers need to be replaced periodically, and typically via a maint kit which replaces several feed rollers as well.. How many pages have been printed.. Print a config sheet to display this information.
Most likely to be the toner cartridge is it OK on other programs such as the web explorer? If not change the toner cartridge you can also print out the configuration page by pressing the green tick and then using the up and down arrows select information press green tick to enter then move to "Print Configuration" and select using the green tick. If the page comes out OK then the print cartridge if fine if not try changing it. Also there maybe in the driver you have under printing preferences negative mode make sure that is not checked.
Failing this reinstall the print driver from HP Online if this still doesn't work then change the data cable if still not working then I suggest that the printer formatter board is faulty.
I do hope this helps you and please rate me Thanks J

Hi Alms,
Is there any chance you can post a scan of one of your faulty pages. This would help to assess the fault.
If you print several pages, does the image move further and further down the page with each copy?
Is the white band repeated down the page? If so measure the distance between each band - this will help identify the faulty component.
