Alternate way to power the dash

Does anyone know how to power th dash, my power button does not work anymore....

I have the same problem. 3 weeks ago, I turned off my dash cause the battery was getting critically low. Got home, plugged it in. After 7 hours, when I work up, I tried to turn it on. It has NEVER turned on again. This sucks for a 350.00 phone!!!! Is there another way to turn this on??? The power button feel is (and always has been) just wrong. You can't really tell if it is going in or not going in. Did it click...not click... argh!

I have a similar problem. I just bought my dash, and the battery got completely drained, it turns on. But then it turns right off. The amber light stays on for 2 seconds to say its charges, but then it blinks (meaning its low/can't charge). I don't get it.

This is extreme, but my Dash phone is alive again. After pushing the power button HARD! for an hour, I broke the button, and pushed it inside the phone. I ripped the button out of the phone with a knife, and carved away the plastic so I could see the circuit board inside. (about a 1/4" x 1/4" hole). Looking in, there are 2 empty holes in the middle -the former mounting legs for the button. To the left are 2 leads (solder points), to the right there are 3 solder points. Using a screwdriver, I jumped (made a connection) with the 2 leads closest to the edge of the phone...ie: 1st solder joint to the left of the holes, and 1st solder joint to the right of the holes, and it powered up. I will cover the hole with black electrical tape. I build prototypes for architects for a living, so this is a successful solution.

With mine, the reset didn't even work. Tried new batteries...nothing worked. Luckily, still 6 months on the warranty...so they overnighted me a new phone. I am happy again. Now I just wish they could fix this damned memory leak from hell it has. Apparently, all the smart phones running windows mobile have it. And even in mobile 6 it is still there. NO one seems to know where it is...but it sure as hell is there.... Oh well, what else you expect from microsoft... I wish it ran Palm os.. That would RULE!!!!!

The only way to power on and off the phone is to press the power button....an alternate way to charge is via USB cable.....yall might need new phones.....

gc04, try doing a sw reset to do this, the phone has to be off, press and hold the soft keys (buttons with the lines on them above the home key and back arrow key) and hold it down.....press the power button while you are doing that until the white t-mobile screen will come on, then instead of going to the green windows mobile screen, a black screen with white writing......press the green button....it will get you in your phone but it will erase your info as a result....

I accidentally overheated my Panasonic Plasma TV TH-42PZ700U. It won't turn on, and the power button blinks TEN times.

Check and see if there are any blown caps on the power supply. If there are replace them or change your power supply.

Thank you
