How do i set SAP on JVC model AV-26BM4 - JVC TM-A13SUW TV

I believe that on the remote for this set there's a button that says SAP or STEREO. That may have gotten pressed and changed the TV's stereo mode. If the TV is set for SAP (second audio, often used for a different language, for instance, or weather information) and there isn't a SAP signal on the channel, on many models you get no sound at all. It's easy to hit the button without knowing it.

Also check the audio settings menu to see if there's a SPEAKER OFF setting that may have been selected, or check the TV's back panel. Some models have a speaker on-off switch that may have been moved.

There's also the chance that something in the set's sound circuit has failed. With electronic parts, you often have no indication that something is near to failing. Works great, then the next time you turn on the set the part goes bad. Check your tv's audio settings. If there is an "SAP" button on your remote try hitting that. It stands for secondary audio program. Most manufacturers put it near the corners of the remote leaving it prone to getting hit without knowing. Most shows are broadcast with a spanish version of the audio. Hitting that button should allow you to hear it, but some tv networks do not broadcast the SAP audio making it seem like there is no audio. It usually affects more than one channel, and commercials do not broadcast SAP either.

Check to make sure the TV is not set for SAP mode in the audio settings. If the brodcaster is sending a SAP carrier with no audio you will get no sound.

replaced the capacitors(electrolytic) in the primary area of ps.visually check for dried up. also replace the starting resistors in primary ps common values are 100k to 820k .hope this help u....
