Question about Hoshizaki Cubelet Ice MakerDispenser Water Cooled LED Sensor Operation

1 Answer

Km 452 dwu

I picked up this machine recently, it is in very good shape and is very clean. However the compressor has been removed. I do not have experience with the water cooled types. I would like to know if it needs any thing else. Is there a diagram or picture showing the layout. I am especially curious where the water flows to and how to check if ther are any leaks into the freon system.

See if it has any pressure in the sealed system. If so its probably ok.

Water cooled machines here in Oklahoma have to have a new water valve about ever 2 to 3 years or water will flow all the time. The plus is you can install it in a hot kitchen or garage and it will continue to make ice. The bad thing is it takes a lot of water.

If your inclined you could set up a cooling tower and spray the water out and collect it back in the sump and push it back in to the condenser with a pump. If your in Arizona this might be a cure for water use. Other wise get ready for a mess if you don't pipe it into the drain on the building. Keeps the misquotes happy though.

Have a blue hawk 20 gal air compressor took off the check valve and would like to clean it. how do u clean it and how do u know its still in good shape

The check valves purpose is to keep air in the tank from escaping when the compressor is not running. It also reduces the startup load on the motor. They do not usually need any sort of service. Cleaning compounds can cause the valve to fail. If tank pressure bleeds down when the compressor is not running indicates its time to replace it.

The bike does not want to pick u refs

Do you mean "does not want to pick up revs?" Start with top quality fresh clean gasoline, be sure your lines and filters (one in the tank?) are clean. New spark plug, be sure your wires are all clean and in good shape; move to be sure your exhaust is not plugged. Did you do any recent mods? New air cleaner or pipes almost always require re jetting or remapping.. Reply with your results and more symptoms. Good luck!!

I have a True tbb-2g that recently froze some beer in bottles and also a lot of moisture on bottles still in cooler that I have not enjoyed yet ! it is no froze up and compressor was replaced 3 years

Is the condenser clean and clear? Is the fan running? Sometimes when the fan fails the compressor runs and runs and runs. First thing you need to do is go to the supermarket and pick up a red stick thermometer and find out what kind of temperature you have. Try setting the temperature warmer. Is the coil iced up at one end? If it is there is a good chance the system has a leak and needs a look at from a tech with some tools. Hope this helps good luck.

New Home Type F threading bobbin take up

Perhaps one of these will help:

Thread Bobbin on Newhome Sewing Machine

HINT: install a brand new needle. Remove the top thread from the machine. ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot and then rethread the top thread. The upper tension should start out set at the midway point. Use only fresh, good quality thread--AVOID old or bargain bin threads.

If the machine is threaded correctly top and bottom, but is still not catching the bobbin thread, then it's possible the machine is out of time. Search for sewing machine timing or take it for service.

Since it is an older mechanical machine, it is recommended to clean and oil the machine frequently. Oil Before using it if it has been in storage. If the machine is sticky, motor drags, etc., here's a good reference for getting it back in shape:

Wheel on right side that controls the needle up and down is very tight...

My air compressor continuously pumps but does not exceed 20 psi

My compressor had a very similar problem. Once I disassembled the heads, I found that the valves were broken. Solution: rebuild top end. Make sure the seats are in good shape or replace with a new pre-assembled one. Check to see if cylinder walls are in good shape.Minor scoring is a acceptable. valves are not like auto valves and are assembled units. Pay close attention where seals go. Some compressors can remove the valves without removing the heads.

Our Sharp AR-160 copy machine is 5 yrs old. We have had to have continued maintenance, most recently the "developer" was replaced and our copies still come out faded. How long should we expect...

Did they clean the laser unit?

You can play with bias to raise the copy darkness.

For start you can open the front door and right side way door, remove drum unit, and you will be able to see long glass above drum unit. clean it with the dry wipe or wet one but be sure to dry it.

By my experience it is a good low maintenance copier... if the preventive maintenance is carried out correctly, every 60 000 copies more or less.

Hope that helps!

Howdy and help !! my 1974 singer genie sewing machine was workin just fine... i broke a needle replaced it with the correct needle inserted properly nothin bent etc and yes - its all threaded properly too....

This can happen to ANY sewer, of any skill level, so don't feel bad.
First, remove the bobbin and bobbin case. Thoroughly clean the area where the bobbin case sits in the machine. Lint builds up here and causes a host of irritating problems. It should be cleaned out often, every few hours of sew time if you're using fuzzy or soft fabrics.

Then, try a newly wound bobbin. Even if it's not the one you wish to use, the one you've got now may have something wrong, be poorly wound perhaps. You can rewind it if need be, or wind another one. Then, rethread the upper machine too. Sometimes you can miss the simplest thing especially if you're not very familiar with the machine. Check every thread guide to be sure no thread has been caught. My old machine has a nick in one guide that catches thread now and then, just have to watch out for it.

Once it's all clean and rethreaded, insert another new needle, and then try to pick up the bobbin thread again and hopefully, all will be well.

I know that needles can be a bit costly, but the least defect in any needle can cause issues, and it's not worth driving yourself nuts over them. Dull needles may not work properly, and many modern fabrics are really, really ******* needles. Best to replace them more often and be sure they're in top notch shape. I don't keep old needles around at all, I put them into the metal recycling so I don't mix them up with new needles. Good luck

The compressor has a max working pressure of 12 bar but at the moment is maxing out at 7.5 bar how do i adust it

The switch is probably located between the motor and the compressor ( a small square box), unplug the machine, remove the box cover. You should find a screw adjustment there, clockwise for higher pressure usually.
12 bar is 175 PSI, is your machine in good shape to handle it?
Most air tools only need 90 PSI.

Machine is very loud and jumpy

Usually this problem occurs on machines with a front load bobbin case. If so, remove the bobbin case, the shuttle hook cover (two levers to the sides of the bobbin case area cover and shuttle hook (part the bobbin case goes on and it is ½ mooned shaped). Then clean and oil (with Q-tips and sewing machine oil NOT 3 n1 oil) the round outer area where the hook rides. No lint at all and squeaky clean. Then 3 drops of sewing machine oil in rounded groove where the shuttle hook rides. Then replace the pieces:
Replace hook:
Identify the the hook driver (still in machine), it is 1/2 moon shape. The hook is also 1/2 moon shape. If you lay the machine on its back,( it's easier). Set the hook 1/2 into the other 1/2 of the hook driver to make a circle. Then put the hook cover on (machine still on its back) with the tabs for the twist locks pointed to you. Needle gaurd on hook cover to the top of the machine. Snap the twist locks in place, replace the bobbin case and viola!
