Green constantly flashes on front of WS65813. HV power is present past fuse on WS 828132800085M board and passes to WS65813500099P board. I would think the transformer to the tubes is bad, How much is that board. Need to replace quickly with NFC championship and Super Bowl upcomming.

The green front LED flashes all time and I can't switch the TV. I pressed a paper clip in the little hole where it says System Reset for about 30 seconds but without any results. I just called a Mitsubishi authorized Repair shop and they told me that I had to unplug the TV for several hours and the try to rest the unit again. Is this a well-known problem with this Model WS 55813 55" Rear Projection HDTV Television?

I have the same "green blinking light" issue...sounds like it's a common issue. Not many places are willing to make a 'house' call to diagnose the issue. Any suggestions?

The blogs on this subject are enormously helpful but you gotta be persistant to solve this TV problem because the fix may not be just the caps. I have a WS 65813, left the house for 3 months, came back to a blinking green light. Read Fixya and others and determined the fix is the caps on the DM board. Went to Radio Shack, got the caps, replaced them, plugged the TV in and now no light what so ever. In and out with the DM board 5 times before I called a local repair guy who told me to bring in the light box (chassis)..he said "I must have really done it.", meaning I'm way over my head and that's what I get for reading Fixya blogs and others. I swallowed my ego and decided to give him the light box chassis and $400 estimated. To take out the light box you have to remove the front panels. When I removed the glossy panel I noticed the cable connector to the power switch had separated, no doubt from the stress of sliding in and out the chassis to access the DM board (there is not much spare length in the cable feeding to the front panel). I reconnected it and voila! at least back to the blinking light..although still not fixed even with new caps. I read more blogs and saw there are three 4A SMT fuses on the underside of the DM PWB that someone suggested to look at. Got out the VOM, and there it was a bad fuse as open as the back side of my Mitsubishi. To see if it was the culprit and not having a replacement I soldered a small strand of wire across it, re installed the DM board now the 6th time and MADE SURE all connectors are back in place VOILA and it is fixed (temporarily) Super Bowl eve. I plan to get the right fuse and replace my temp fix. Lesson learned, you can mess things up trying to fix things so stay patient if you are a DIY're... you have to trial and error more since you are not the expert and are fixing things once. But it feels real nice saving $1,000. Now on to my charger on the boat.
