Drivers for this printer are not available for Windows Vista and Win 7, so you simply need to connect the printer to the PC and the drivers will be installed automatically without any disk.

If they are cartridges that have been refilled by you or a NON Dell company that will cause problems; sometimes. If they are the correct cartridges and they are expired that might be an issue too. Assuming that they are fresh Dell approved cartridges then, if possible, uninstall the printer software and reboot the computer and re-install the printer software and see if that helps.

Driver could be corrupt. Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off.
I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with
the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the
printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
