control board has detected an error. Press any button to wake the
machine then wait for 5 seconds. Press and hold the START/PAUSE and
CANCEL buttons simultaneously then the failure code will appear in the
display as an "E" followed by two numbers, a number and a letter or two
letters as long as the buttons are held. The control will beep and the
Door Lock, Wash, Rinse, and Final Spin indicator lights will flash. Post
back the code for further advice.
Tom, I'm having exactly the same problem, Have you managed to solve it? The Service center will no even tell me what's wrong with (they're quite keen to get me to arrange a visit from their engineer for £110 though).
Sound like door/latch is not providing a secure door close anymore. Push on the door when the lights flash and see if this stops the blinking and continues with wash cycle. If it does, there is either somehing interfering withe the door closing fully, or the door latch on the door or dishwasher side is worn/defective.
If the clean light flashes 7 times, pauses, then repeats...
the dishwasher doesn't sense a water temperature increase, it will
stop working and lock the functions (clean light flashes 7 times, all
buttons are non responsive). It does this as a safety in case the
element is broken and feeding electrical current into the water.
To resolve this you will have to reset the console. Do this by closing the door and press these buttons in sequence...
the lights will turn on briefly and the machine will start a diagnostic
cycle. You can press cancel or let the diagnostic cyle finish (1-2
minutes). You should now be able to run the dishwasher as normal.
the issue returns, you could have a problem with the heating circuit
(ie. element, thermostat or wiring). It rarely happens but it could
also be the door switch not engaging properly when the door is closed
(slightly bend the door latch down making sure it doesn't hit the door
when you close it).
Thought these additional details might help as we are having a similar problem.
When the washer is turned on we get a blank screen, then after a bit we see the display flash. After sometime flashing then we see it go to normal and we can run it. It is as almost as if it need to warm up...
We can get the display to show faster, by playing with the knob. However, the machine still needs time before we can use it.
