SOURCE: model cd55 Ryobi cordless drill driver

Your drill probably has a bad or stripped drive gear. Does the drill operate in forward w/a battery that is not fully charged but yet good.?

SOURCE: i loosend the drill bit on my Makita cordless

That can be cured with WD-40, and 2 pairs of channel lock pliers. Spray the chuck inside with WD-40, then grab the lock collar closest to the drill body itself with the pliers, being careful not to squeeze too hard and damage the plastic, then do the same for the spinner in front of it and rotate it clockwise while holding the lock collar in place.

Trigger on the drill master cordless drill will not move

You may be between "forward" and "reverse" setting. Try changing that and see if it helps.

Speed control switch

You can find an Authorized Service Center near you on Hitachi's website (www.hitachipowertools.com) to see if they have a switch to sell you. Another optioin is sites like www.ereplacementparts.com where ou can do a search on your model number and find your switch. They do have your switch available (PN 333640) for $38.70 +S/H.

Jaws won't tighten or loosen to hold a bit

Hmmm some times the counterclockwise screw that attaches the chuck to the drill come forward and that is how then it stucks the 3 parts that fix a drill to a chuck. Check if this screw come forward. If yes then destroy it and replace it... We destroy it by using a drill smaller than it (usually it is 5mm so we use 4mm bit and of course a CARBIDE one because even cobalt ones can not drill a hardened bolt)

Have b&d firestorm 14.5 volt cordless, forward and reverse switch broken older model but hate to throw it away. it is stuck in forward andhave two batteries and good charger throw away? or fix ?

Fix! We had the same problem, and when we opened up the case (8 screws and a pin later), we found that a tiny plastic tab had broken off the Forward/Reverse selector, which costs less than a dollar. We ordered it from a local supplier to avoid $10 shipping.

Cordless drill is stuck closed

Find a way to secure the chuck like in a vise. Then change the rotation of the drill and hit the trigger. Make sure you have a good grip on drill..good luck
