Unlike Sprint, the SIM slot on Verizon iPhones comes unlocked. Caveats: While you can use SIM-equipped Verizon phones on AT&T, T-Mobile and other GSM carriers, unless the device has roaming GSM radios it won't be able to make phone calls or send texts in the United States.Jul 28, 2014
I am having a Samsung Nexus SCHi515 with Verizon network( It has a sim slot) I have taken the phone to India. I thought it could be unlocked and used in some CDMA network( Reliance) here since one of my friend have unlocked LG droid 3,(non-sim model),verizon network. But I have heard from some people that phone with sim slot cannot be unlocked and only the non sim model can be unlocked and registered with the Reliance CDMA network in India. Is it not possible to unlock the model with sim slot? Kindly help me out.
Hi, let me straight about the meaning of unlocked phone. If your phone already unlocked from verizon network using blackberry storm 9530 unlock code, you can use any sim card on that phone. Which mean you can access data service, internet service or everything else only from your sim card network provider. So if you use an att sim card on your mobile phone, there is no way to download verizon web browser and why you need verizon web browser? Why you just not to use att web browser? If you still insist to download verizon web browser you can replace your att sim card with verizon sim card, then you can download that web browser on your blackberry and what is the point you spend some of your money for blackberry unlock code if you still using verizon sim card?
Depending upon whether your phone has been locked or if it's unlocked you can switch SIM cards around with no problem.
A phone being locked is when the service provider has blocked the phone from being used by any other service provider's SIM cards. Usually you will be asked for a PIN in order to allow the new SIM to be used. If you do have a locked phone then you can do a search online for unlocking your phone. The link below is for use in the UK, so you will have to go to google.com and use the search string "unlock..." I believe that Verizon and Sprint phones are ussualy locked down, i would check the status of your SIM card, you should be able to use your hardware however you need the service and in this case a verizon SIM card. a possible solution would be to buy a cheap verizon pay-as-you-go phone and remove the SIM card and put in your phone, you may have to unlock your phone to accept it. Good Luck!
Phone needs to be unlocked first from Verizon. Once it is unlocked you should then be able to put your SIM into the phone and the any numbers that are stored to your SIM should be in the Verizon phone.
i unlocked an at&t phone and put in the sim card and it wouldnt work. i called tmobile and the representative told me that they have to register the sim card to their network or something.
so just call tmobile and tell them you got a new phone and want to register it so the sim will work in the unlocked phone.
