Check whether the audio is muted by accidental press at remote control button. Enter its sound menu, and check it. If muted, as you know there will be no audio output. If not muted, check the speaker/s. If found OK; check and replace the damaged component/s at its audio output section circuit board. If needy, replace this board as card basis. Could be tuner, could be settings on the audio menus like external audio or alternate audio. If you checked all these and If it is more than a year old, buy a $40 tuner converter and use external. Not worth fixing. Tuner problems are seldom simple.
If you have no audio output on the tv at all then you may have a problem, look to see if you can connect straight from your dvd/vhs/sky to the amp, you may be able to get success that way, most equipment has at least a twin phono output (red and white sockets) or maybe even a toslink optical port if your amplifier supports it. double check your tv and instruction book as I would be surprised if you have no audio output at all.
Last ditch scenario, you could always get a headphone to twin phono lead (very cheap) and connect frm the headphone socket on the tv into your amp, this way any sound going into your tv including the built in tuner, will go to your amp.
The phono solutions will only give you stereo sound though and you will have to see if your amp can supply you with psuedo surround.
hi buddy u have to change ur sound setting from the Control panel. ie by default the Sound is played through ur default sound card.but if ur using ur HDMI connection then u have to chage it frm control panel

The first problem was always standby mode.... get back the original eprom IC 24CO8WP in to the PCB, then find the original remote control of you TCL Tv tcl-14175 then you power On In the Remote control while your TV is in Standby mode! then you see your tv is going ON... Because your unit is in Child lock Mode....
