The manual will be no help in replacing your belt. It only tells you how to use the unit, not how to repair it. I have a copy of it in memory, if you'd like it email me your email address and I'll send it. I also have a diagram on file that shows the exact route for the belt on your dryer. I could send that as well. My email is [email protected].
Try gluing (with epoxy) an extension to the lid switch actuator. The other option is to remove the cabinet top and replace the switch. Unplug the power before doing this. Hope this helps!
