Ithink . brother printer is best, we can always reffil untial drum isnot scarch, some time drum life is endinging as u say iit can be reset . after this we get 100% life. there is no need cheap and tools for reset it. reffiling before we reset cartage by adjusting cartage sides white ring. and we can also reset reffiling after . this treak is secre to tech.

Measure the distance between the dots and that will give you the answer to which roller is causing the problem I believe the Drum is the only roller large enough to just cause three dots.

Black lines or smudge marks\running down the prints

Hello sir;The streak line from printing also should be from copy, because the line come from imaging unit, check the meter count if close to or over 50,000 then replace drum and drum blade, it will take care the problem.
The brother printer you need to replace imaging unit( drum unit).

My drum is at 40%. I have black vertical streaks

I was going crazy! Had a tech come in and look at the machine - needless to say he did NOTHING! A friend came over and was trying different things. It was that the "rack" that the toner cartridges sit in was not fully seated - once he pushed down a little and heard it "click" I had no more black streaks. AMAZING

MFC-8460N Drum Changed - cannot clear DRUM NEAR END message

This sometimes happen when you dont use genuine cartridges/drums, you can leave it flash just let everyone know to watch for changes in print quality since you will no longer have a warning for this drum. when its near its end.
