2004 Dodge Ram 1500, Infinity sound system. The 6 CD player stopped working. I removed the stereo from the dash, but left it connected to the harness. Reinstalled the stereo. CD still not working, but AM/FM is still working. A week a later removed the stereo again along with the removing the harness, now neither AM/FM or CDs work. Is there a security code to reset the stereo. Can I reset the computer for the entire vehicle.
You most likely need a new radio. They go bad all the time in the Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep. Don't know how many of them I have replaced.
There is no code for the radios in the Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep vehicles. If your fuse to your radio is good, and you have power and ground, and nothing works, you need a radio. Be wary of used electronics on Ebay, especially from vehicles with radios prone to be bad. I know my little shop has replaced at least 8 radios this month alone, and that is quite a few.
